Senator Pearce moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of the Finance Committee Substitute offered on page 1611. Senator Duncan objected. (a) The sum of $14,239,600 is appropriated from the general fund to the University of Alaska for deferred maintenance projects. (b) The sum of $6,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the University of Alaska, Fairbanks for fire code compliance." Renumber the following bill sections accordingly. Page 4, line 20: Delete "sec.1" Insert "secs. 1 and 3" Adjust funding information accordingly. Senator Adams moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 2. Senator Pearce objected. Senators Halford, Taylor offered amendment to Amendment No. 2: Page 3, Lines 12 - 17: Delete and reduce total by 7,500,000 before adding new Section 3 and the remainder of Amendment No. 2.
